Kuwait city: Kuwait Airways signed a Master Services Agreement (MSA) with Impulse International Communications to build the infrastructure needed to implement the newest information technologies as part of its digital transformation initiative.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait Airways Chairman Abdulmohsen Al-Fagaan stated that the agreement aims to develop the national carrier's technology at all levels, aligning with Kuwait's Vision 2035.
The MSA ensures the implementation of the latest cloud computing technologies in accordance with Kuwait Airways' strategic plans to enhance customer experience. Al-Fagaan emphasized the airline's commitment to becoming a preferred carrier by improving performance and providing a superior travel experience through advanced technology, quality service, and a focus on safety and security. Impulse, as the authorized distributor of the Framework Agreement signed with Google Cloud, will play a crucial role in supporting Kuwait Airways' cloud computing initiatives.
Impulse's Vice Chairman and CEO, Izzat Abou Amarah, expressed that the agreement's main objective is to enhance, activate, and automate Kuwait Airways' procedures while achieving the airline's digital transformation goals. He noted that Impulse has a clear vision in the aviation sector, aligning with global developments, particularly in artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
The agreement signifies Impulse's mission to drive Kuwait's digital transformation by accelerating technology adoption and delivering innovative solutions. A key focus of the agreement is enhancing the passenger experience across all stages, from pre-booking to arrival at the destination.
Kuwait Airways, established in 1953 as a private company under the name "Kuwait National Airways Limited," launched its first flight in 1954, and the government acquired full ownership in 1962. Impulse International Communications, founded in 2012 by the National Technology Enterprises Company, is fully owned by the Kuwait Investment Authority.
