Israeli Airstrike Results in Fatality in Lebanon’s Baalbek Region

Baalbek: One more person has been killed by the Israeli occupation forces' airstrike in Kafr Dan village, in Baalbek, east of Lebanon, the Lebanese Health Ministry's Public Health Emergency Operations Center announced on Thursday.

According to Kuwait News Agency, earlier today, the center reported that another person was killed and two others wounded by an airstrike carried out by the Israeli occupation in Deir Yassin town in Marjaayoun district, south of Lebanon. Meanwhile, The UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) spokesman Andrea Tenenti announced the discovery of a vast network of fortified tunnels in the vicinity of Tayr Harfa, Zibqin, and Naqoura. He added in a statement the findings included artillery pieces, several bunkers, rocket launchers, anti-tank mines, hundreds of shells and rockets, and explosive devices.

The move was conducted as part of UNIFIL's routine activities, in coordination with the Lebanese armed forces, in line with the UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

The Israeli occupation forces have been breaching the ceasefire deal signed on November 27 through carrying out air strikes and attacks on southern Lebanon. The Israeli forces also are still occupying some sites inside Lebanon's territories, thus violating the UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
