Beirut: At least 12 people were killed and several others injured in a series of Israeli air attacks across different regions of Lebanon on Wednesday, as reported by the official National News Agency (NNA). According to Kuwait News Agency, Israeli warplanes targeted several adjacent houses belonging to a single family in the eastern ancient city of Baalbek, resulting in the deaths of five individuals and injuries to others. Efforts to lift debris and uncover corpses from the rubble are ongoing, the NNA stated. In a separate incident, an air strike targeted Al-Meshrfeh near the town of Hermel, located farther north of Baalbek, where seven people were killed and others injured, the NNA reported, noting the heavy damage caused by this attack. Later at dusk, Israeli occupation aircraft targeted districts in the southern suburbs of Beirut amid extensive overflights by pilotless aircraft.
