Kuwait MoH Launches EIOS Platform to Enhance Public Health Surveillance.

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Health, represented by the Kuwait Center for Disease Prevention and Control, has initiated the global Epidemic Intelligence from Open Sources (EIOS) platform. This platform utilizes digital technology to continuously monitor and analyze public health information from numerous sources worldwide. According to Kuwait News Agency, the initiative aims to strengthen the detection, verification, and monitoring of public health threats at an early stage. The Ministry announced in a press release that the platform's launch coincided with a training workshop, attended by World Health Organization (WHO) experts, designed to equip national personnel with skills to effectively use and analyze data from the platform. The EIOS platform enhances the Ministry's capabilities in early detection and verification of public health threats. It achieves this by collecting and analyzing data from various sources such as media outlets, social media, health reports, and government websites. This initiativ e is part of the Ministry's broader efforts to bolster health security, improve readiness, and ensure a swift response to health crises through cutting-edge scientific technologies.
