Kuwait: Kuwait-UK joint military exercise, Iron Shield 2-2024, concluded, Wednesday, at the 94th Al-Saleh Al-Mohammad Mechanized Brigade, in the presence of the British Ambassador to Kuwait, Belinda Lewis, and Commander of the 94th Brigade, Brigadier General Barrak Al-Farhan. The exercise is part of the ongoing cooperation between the Kuwaiti and British forces, focusing on enhancing joint training, command and control operations, unifying operational concepts, and exchanging expertise to boost combat readiness. According to Kuwait News Agency, Ambassador Belinda Lewis emphasized the significance of Iron Shield 2 as the United Kingdom celebrates the 125th anniversary of its diplomatic relations with Kuwait. She remarked that the exercise underscores the UK's commitment to Kuwait's security and prosperity and aims to fortify defense ties. Brigadier General Barrak Al-Farhan highlighted the strong relationship be tween Kuwait and the United Kingdom, noting that the joint exercise enhances cooperation and contributes to improving combat readiness. British Military Mission Commander in Kuwait, Brigadier General Gavin Thompson, pointed out that Iron Shield provided the Third Battalion of the Rifles a chance to train in Kuwait's desert alongside the 94th Brigade, offering a distinct experience compared to Edinburgh's terrain.
