Tehran: Iraqi security forces on Sunday killed three militants belonging to the so-called Islamic State (IS) in Kirkuk, as part of military operations in the northern province.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the offensive comes days after the killing of two senior IS militants in Iraq's Kirkuk province, Counter Terrorism Service chief Karim Al-Tamimi said in a statement.
In 2017, Iraq declared victory over IS after Baghdad had regained control over all territories held by the militant group.
