Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed on Wednesday that his ministry would discuss the nature of future cooperation regarding Iran's nuclear program with Deputy Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Massimo Aparo. Aparo will not come to Iran for inspection, "as we have not granted such permission" but the discussions will revolve around special arrangements regarding future cooperation, Araghchi told Iranian state television. According to Kuwait News Agency, Araghchi emphasized the need to establish a new framework for cooperation with the IAEA. He noted that this cooperation would be regulated in light of recent legislation that mandates it be conducted through the Supreme National Council. Araghchi raised questions about the protocols for IAEA visits to bombed facilities, suggesting that a plan of action must be developed for such scenarios. Araghchi also mentioned that, at the request of the IAEA, they have invited the Agency's Deputy General, Massimo Aparo , to visit Tehran. This invitation forms part of the discussions aimed at defining the future nature of cooperation between Iran and the IAEA.
