Militant Attack in Balochistan Leaves 7 Dead Including Soldiers and Militants

Mastung: At least three soldiers and four militants were killed in a bomb attack on a military vehicle in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province. According to Kuwait News Agency, terrorists, identified as belonging to an "Indian proxy," targeted a security forces' vehicle using an improvised explosive device in the Mastung District of Balochistan. This information was detailed in a press release from Pakistan military's media wing, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), on Wednesday. Three soldiers, including an officer, were reported to have embraced martyrdom, as stated in the release. During the subsequent sanitization of the area, four militants described as "Indian sponsored terrorists" were located and neutralized. The ISPR emphasized that the sanitization operation will continue to ensure the elimination of any remaining threats. The security forces are committed to eradicating Indian Sponsored Terrorism from Pakistan, with the sacrifices of their personnel strengthening their resolve. Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, strongly condemned the attack and honored the martyrs. A statement from the PM Office reiterated the Prime Minister's commitment to completely eradicating terrorism from the country. The attack occurs during a period of increased terror activity in Pakistan, particularly in the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Balochistan, which share borders with Afghanistan.
