Kuwait city: Hawalli Governorate on Monday launched an awareness campaign at Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre under the patronage and attendance of Acting Hawalli Governor and Governor of Mubarak Al-Kabeer, Sheikh Sabah Bader Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.
According to Kuwait News Agency, in his opening speech, Sheikh Sabah stated that the campaign, branded "Hawalli is Safe," represents a pioneering step to enhance community security and raise awareness on crime prevention. The initiative aims to highlight the importance of compliance with modern laws, especially in an era of evolving threats such as cybercrime.
He further explained that the initiative seeks to instill a proactive approach prioritizing awareness over punishment. The campaign includes panel discussions addressing topics such as traffic safety and its consequences, key legal basics, and the challenges of electronic offences and cybersecurity across households.
