Kuwait City: France affirmed Wednesday its firm position against any forced displacement of the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip, which would constitute a serious violation of international law.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the French Foreign Ministry stated that any forced displacement of the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip also constitutes an attack on the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinians. It further highlighted that such actions would be a major obstacle to the two-state solution and a major destabilizing factor for France's close partners Egypt and Jordan, as well as for the entire region.
France reiterated its commitment to the two-state solution, emphasizing that it is the sole resolution capable of ensuring "peace and security" in the long term for both Israelis and Palestinians. The ministry's statement stressed that the future of Gaza should be considered within the framework of the future Palestinian state under the guidance of the Palestinian Authority, rather than through third-party control.
