Brussels: EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, announced during the European Defense Agency's annual conference that U.S. President Donald Trump is correct in his criticism of EU countries for not allocating sufficient funds for defense.

She stated the importance of the United States as an ally, emphasizing that the EU must take greater responsibility for its own defense and ensure Europe's security. Kallas noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin is heavily investing in military capabilities, with Russia's military budget now three times what it was prior to previous conflicts. She stressed the need for the EU to enhance its defense production capacity.
