Brussels: European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen expressed her satisfaction on Sunday with the "good progress" seen in the Ukrainian peace talks. She highlighted that a nearly hour-long phone call, which included US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and several European leaders, resulted in tangible advancements in the peace negotiation process.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the call was part of a broader discussion on the outcomes of an earlier meeting between the US and Ukrainian presidents focused on peace negotiations. Von der Leyen shared on X that the call emphasized advancing political efforts toward a peaceful resolution, acknowledging the positive progress and affirming Europe's readiness to continue working closely with Ukraine and US partners to solidify and build on these developments.
