Somalia, Djibouti Leaders Underline Mogadishu’s Unity, Sovereignty

Djibouti: Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and his Djiboutian counterpart Ismail Omar Guelleh stressed the significance of concerted consultation, coordination, and diplomatic efforts to defend Somalia's unity, independence, and sovereignty.

According to Kuwait News Agency, this emphasis was made during a meeting between the two leaders in Djibouti. They commended all sisterly and friendly countries that have objected to any attempt to divide Somalia. The leaders also agreed to enhance diplomatic consultation and cooperation between Somalia and Djibouti to maintain regional stability.

The Somali president expressed gratitude to Djibouti's president, government, and people for their role in supporting Somalia, particularly their consistent efforts in safeguarding the country's unity and independence.
