Emirates Falcons International Cup Concludes with Celebrations in Kuwait

Kuwait city: The first Emirates Falcons International Cup concluded with the crowning of the winners of the tournament in Kuwait. The event, which began on December 4, saw the participation of 200 falconers and 270 falcons under the supervision of the UAE and International Falconry Federations. Winners were honored by prominent figures, including Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, UAE Minister of Sports and Vice President of the UAE National Olympic Committee Dr. Ahmed Al-Falasi, and Secretary-General of the UAE and International Federations for Falconry and Falcon Racing Rashed bin Markhan.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Minister Al-Mutairi emphasized that Kuwait's hosting of the championship reflects the longstanding and strong relations between Kuwait and the UAE. He highlighted the continuous strengthening of these ties under the leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed. The championship's organization in Kuwait was seen as a testament to the closeness between the two nations, evident in the seamless organization, participation, and public attendance.

Minister Al-Mutairi congratulated the winners in various categories and praised their performances. He expressed gratitude to Secretary-General Rashed bin Markhan, members of both federations, the UAE Ambassador to Kuwait, and all participants and teams contributing to the event's success. He also acknowledged the role of state institutions, the private sector, and civil society organizations in presenting the championship effectively, reflecting the prestigious standing of Kuwait and the UAE.

Minister Al-Falasi echoed similar sentiments, noting the closeness between the UAE and Kuwait and how events like these reinforce the depth of their relations and shared Gulf identity. He expressed appreciation for the support of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait for sports, especially those reflecting Gulf history and identity.

In terms of results, Ahmed Abdullah secured first place in the championship's final round, with Abdulaziz Al-Shehab and Abdulrahman Al-Ajmi taking second and third places, respectively. Abdulrahman Al-Ajmi also claimed first place in the Pure Gyr category, while Anas Allam won in the Qarmousha category. Mohammad Falah took first place in the Gyr-Taba'a category. Additionally, Abdulrahman Al-Ajmi and Abdulaziz Al-Shehab excelled in the Farm-Bred Peregrine "Hurr" and Farm-Bred "Shaheen" categories, respectively.

The successful launch of the Emirates Falcons International Cup in Kuwait highlighted a significant initiative by the UAE Falconry Federation, symbolizing messages of brotherhood and loyalty and reflecting the historical ties between the two nations.
