Egypt and Qatar Renew Support for Gaza Ceasefire

Cairo: Egypt's general intelligence agency chief Major General Hassan Rashad held talks with Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani to renew support for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, local media reported on Monday.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting was part of extensive talks conducted by the Egyptian official with Palestinian and Israeli delegations. The discussions are part of Cairo's ongoing efforts to implement a ceasefire in the Palestinian enclave.

The report further indicates that both Cairo and Doha are in agreement on the necessity of enforcing a ceasefire in Gaza and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region. This highlights the collaborative efforts of both nations in addressing the ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip.
