Cairo: Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita engaged in discussions on Friday, focusing on regional and international matters, including the Palestine issue and the situations in Syria, Lebanon, Libya, and Sudan.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the conversation between the two ministers, conducted over the telephone, also explored ways to enhance bilateral relations across various fields and addressed issues of common interest. Egypt's Foreign Ministry released a statement highlighting the deep-rooted relations and bonds between the two nations, reaffirming their commitment to upgrading collaboration.
The ministers expressed a desire to strengthen political consultation mechanisms and improve cooperation in investment, education, culture, and economics to meet the aspirations of their respective nations and support mutual interests. Additionally, they emphasized the need for ongoing joint efforts to fortify African action mechanisms and the African Union's role in addressing peace, security, and development issues across the continent.
