Saudi Arabia Expresses Deep Concern Over Food Crisis in Gaza

Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed the Kingdom's profound concern following the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) report and the declaration of famine in the Gaza Strip. The Ministry's statement also condemned what it described as genocide crimes committed by Israeli occupation forces against defenseless civilians.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the statement issued on Friday emphasized that the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza is a direct result of the absence of deterrence and accountability mechanisms for the repeated crimes committed by the Israeli occupation. The Ministry's statement further declared that this situation would remain a stain on the moral standing of the international community, particularly on the permanent members of the UN Security Council, unless immediate action is taken to end the famine and halt the genocide and crimes against the Palestinian people.
