Brussels: Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot has expressed dissatisfaction with a European proposal to utilize frozen Russian assets to fund a loan for Ukraine, stating that it does not satisfactorily address Belgium's concerns. The European Commission is set to present the legal framework related to this proposal.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Prevot, speaking at a NATO foreign ministers' meeting, emphasized that Belgium's concerns are being minimized. He highlighted that the forthcoming legal texts from the European Commission do not adequately address Belgium's reservations. Prevot insisted that Belgium requires assurance that any potential risks associated with the mechanism are fully covered before committing to the plan.
