Gaza Says 9,500 Missing Under Rubble, Urges Entry of Rescue Teams

Gaza: The Gaza Government Media Office has announced that over 9,500 individuals remain missing beneath the rubble, with ambulance and civil defense crews unable to recover them due to a persistent lack of essential rescue equipment.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Gaza Government Media Office emphasized in a statement that the ongoing restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation on the entry of aid are a blatant violation of humanitarian protocol and the core of the ceasefire agreement. The government office highlighted the urgency of the situation and called on the parties overseeing the ceasefire agreement to exert pressure on the occupation to allow the immediate entry of the necessary equipment.

The office urged for the facilitation of rescue teams' efforts to carry out their work efficiently. The statement underscored the critical need for international intervention to ensure the delivery of aid and equipment, which are crucial for the rescue operations and the wellbeing of those trapped under debris.
