40th Arab Handball Clubs League Set to Begin in Kuwait

Kuwait city: The 40th Arab Handball Clubs League and Cup Championship is scheduled to commence tomorrow, Friday, in Kuwait, featuring the participation of 11 teams. According to Kuwait News Agency, the tournament, which will run until September 22, has divided the participating teams into two groups. Group one comprises Kuwait SC, Al-Ahly SC, Naft Al-Basra SC, Kadhma SC, and Al-Tali'aa SC. Meanwhile, the second group includes the National Bank of Egypt, Al-Hashd of Iraq, Qatar SC, Al-Sulaibikhat of Kuwait, Al-Shabab of Syria, and Al-Nawaeer of Syria. The opening match is set to feature Kuwait SC, the host and reigning champion, against Al-Tali'aa SC of Syria. The Arab Handball Clubs Championship, which began in 1976, is an annual event that unites the champions of local leagues from Arab nations, and it is organized by the Arab Handball Federation.
