Kuwait City: Yemen's Foreign Minister Shaye Al-Zindani and UN Special Envoy to Yemen Hans Grundberg engaged in discussions on Sunday regarding UN efforts and potential avenues for a peace process aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.
According to Kuwait News Agency, during the meeting, Al-Zindani highlighted the growing humanitarian challenges, noting the escalation of military actions and increased encounters with Houthi militias. He also pointed out the insufficient funding for the humanitarian response plan. Al-Zindani emphasized the Yemeni government's commitment to meeting the needs of its citizens and achieving economic stability.
UN envoy Grundberg reiterated the UN's dedication to ongoing efforts to reduce escalation and facilitate a pathway to peace and an end to the conflict.
