Washington: The United States and 13 other Western nations have jointly denounced the increasing threats reportedly posed by Iranian intelligence services against dissidents residing in their territories. This coalition includes countries from both Europe and North America, expressing unified opposition to what they view as a breach of their sovereignty.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the joint statement issued by the governments of the United States, the United Kingdom, Albania, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Sweden outlines their concerns over actions attributed to Iranian intelligence services. The statement highlights attempts to kill, kidnap, and harass individuals, including journalists, dissidents, Jewish citizens, and current and former officials in these regions.
The collective declaration further warns against the collaboration between Iranian intelligence services and international criminal organizations to execute these threats. The countries involved have asserted that these actions are not only unacceptable but also represent a direct violation of their sovereignty.
The coalition has emphasized its commitment to preventing such activities and has called upon Iranian authorities to cease these illegal operations immediately. The coordinated response underscores the determination of these nations to safeguard their sovereignty and protect individuals within their borders from foreign threats.
