‘Villa Hegra’ Participates in AlUla Arts Festival

Alula: 'Villa Hegra,' the first Saudi-French cultural institution, is contributing to the AlUla Arts Festival 2026, held from January 16 to February 14. This participation is part of a broader framework of cultural events aimed at supporting tourism activity and enhancing AlUla's presence as a cultural destination.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the AlUla Arts Festival is a significant cultural initiative designed to diversify the tourism experience. It features exhibitions, art installations, performance art shows, and cultural experiences staged in open-air sites, all integrated with AlUla's unique natural and heritage assets. The festival, now in its fifth year, includes contemporary exhibitions and art installations, as well as specialized artistic experiences. 'Desert X AlUla' is a notable highlight, showcasing artwork that blends with the natural environment in Wadi AlFann, thereby strengthening AlUla's position in cultural tourism and land art.

The festival's program also includes a collaborative exhibition with the Centre Pompidou and the Museum of Contemporary Art in AlUla, along with a dedicated design arts program. Villa Hegra is participating for the second time, focusing on performance arts, photography, cinema, and design. This participation enriches the cultural content offered to visitors and promotes cultural exchange between Saudi artists and their counterparts from France and other countries.

Villa Hegra's program includes live performances and artwork presented in open-air locations, complemented by music programs and cultural workshops. These activities support an integrated tourism experience and reflect AlUla's commitment to offering contemporary cultural content rooted in the local environment and civilizational heritage.
