US Secretary of State and G7 Foreign Ministers Focus on Iran and Indo-Pacific Region

Brussels: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with G7 foreign ministers to discuss the Iranian situation and the Indo-Pacific region. The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the NATO Summit, as reported by a press release from the US Department of State.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Secretary Rubio and the foreign ministers deliberated on President Trump's decisive actions against Iran's key nuclear facilities. They reached a consensus that Iran must never develop or acquire a nuclear weapon and discussed the next steps to promote lasting peace between Israel and Iran.

Additionally, the discussions covered the importance of maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait and deepening cooperation on China's actions in the South China Sea. The officials also emphasized the role of G7 countries in ensuring a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
