US Establishes Middle East Task Force for Citizen Support

Washington: The US has established a Middle East Task Force to assist and coordinate support for US citizens, diplomatic missions, personnel, and diplomatic engagement in the region.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the US Department of State's spokesperson, Tammy Bruce, announced the formation of the task force to reporters on Tuesday. She emphasized that one of the Trump administration's highest priorities is the safety and security of American citizens. The task force is operational around the clock, having issued over 30 security alerts to countries in the Middle East and updated travel advisories for Iraq and Israel in the past week.

Bruce highlighted the commitment of President Trump, who has repeatedly pledged to prioritize American safety both before and during his tenure. She assured that the task force is actively monitoring the situation on the ground, which is described as complex and rapidly evolving, to assess and address the needs of US citizens in the region.
