US CENTCOM Strikes Iranian-Aligned Militia Facility in Syria.

Washington: US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Tuesday that its forces have conducted a targeted strike on a weapons storage facility belonging to an Iranian-aligned militia in Syria. The operation was carried out as a direct response to a recent militant attack on US forces stationed in the region. According to Kuwait News Agency, the strike aimed to diminish the militia's capacity to organize and execute further assaults on US and Coalition forces engaged in D-ISIS operations. CENTCOM emphasized the importance of this action in safeguarding personnel and coalition partners from potential threats posed by the militia. General Michael Erik Kurilla, the CENTCOM commander, reiterated the US commitment to protecting its forces, stating, "As previously stated, we will not tolerate any attacks on our personnel and coalition partners. We are committed to taking all necessary actions to ensure their protection." He also noted that a battle damage assessment is currently underway and indicated there are no i nitial reports of civilian casualties. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
