Washington: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper on Friday vowed to carry on joint diplomatic efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
According to Kuwait News Agency, this commitment was made during a meeting between the two officials in Washington, as stated by the US Department of State in a press release. The Secretary and Foreign Secretary expressed their dedication to pursuing a negotiated settlement to bring the conflict to an end.
The press release highlighted the importance of ongoing cooperation between the US and UK in Syria and the implementation of Phase Two of US President Donald Trymp's Gaza peace plan. Additionally, both secretaries emphasized their shared focus on securing a humanitarian truce in Sudan.
