Ukraine Requires Five Patriot Systems for Enhanced Defense, Says German Minister

Kyiv: Ukraine needs at least five Patriot air defense systems to strengthen its capabilities, Germany's Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced, highlighting an upcoming deal in which Berlin would supply Kyiv with these critical systems.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the deal involves Germany providing Ukraine with five Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems "as soon as possible." The minister shared this information during an online meeting of the "Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine," noting that logistical challenges have caused a slight delay in the delivery.

Ukraine has emphasized its need for additional air defense systems, including Patriot batteries, to protect itself against a recent surge of Russian missile and drone attacks.
