Death Toll in Bangladesh Air Force Aircraft Crash Rises to 19

Dhaka: The death toll from the crash involving a Bangladesh Air Force aircraft that collided with a building of Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka, has reached 19. In the unfortunate incident, 164 individuals, predominantly students, sustained injuries.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Prothom Alo cited official sources confirming the loss of 19 lives and injuries to 164 people, mainly students, when the aircraft tragically crashed during school hours.

A press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate revealed that the aircraft departed at 1:06 PM local time and crashed shortly thereafter due to a technical malfunction.

Chief Adviser Mohammad Yunus expressed his condolences and wished for the swift recovery of those injured. He stated, "I asked all authorities including hospitals concerned to tackle the situation with utmost importance."

In response to the incident, Bangladesh declared a day of national mourning to honor the victims of this tragic event.
