UK, France, Germany Condemn Russian Violation of NATO, Poland’s Airspace

London: UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke to French President Emmanuel Macron, following a separate phone call with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz earlier today. In both calls, the leaders condemned the Russian violation of NATO and Poland's airspace yesterday, a 10 Downing Street statement noted.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions between the leaders also focused on strengthening Poland's defenses. The UK Prime Minister expressed readiness to support any further NATO deployments to the region, highlighting the commitment of the UK and France to bolster Poland's security.

In conversations about broader European security, Chancellor Merz and Prime Minister Starmer emphasized the importance of defending NATO against both conventional and hybrid threats from Russia. They reiterated the necessity of maintaining a strong and unified front in response to these challenges.

The talks also touched on the situation in the Middle East. Prime Minister Starmer provided updates on his recent diplomatic activities and stressed the urgency of achieving an immediate ceasefire, securing the release of all hostages, accelerating aid delivery, and returning to negotiations. He concluded by underscoring his condemnation of Israel's actions in Doha.
