Kuwait City: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Saturday the "Coalition of the Willing" would move soon to put practical steps for peace in Ukraine. "We have to keep pushing ahead, pushing forward and preparing for peace," Starmer told a press conference after chairing a virtual summit of leaders of the coalition's participating countries.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Starmer emphasized the importance of progressing towards a peace that is secure and lasting. He highlighted the necessity of strengthening Ukraine to enable it to defend itself effectively. This includes enhancing military capabilities, securing funding, and providing further support from coalition members to Ukraine.
The virtual meeting was attended by 26 countries, predominantly from Europe, as well as Ukraine, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, NATO, and the European Commission. The gathering aimed to coordinate efforts and outline strategies to ensure long-term peace and stability in Ukraine.
