London: The United Kingdom and the United States of America have reached a deal with Google Cloud to facilitate the sharing of classified information, as declared by the British Defense Ministry.
According to Kuwait News Agency, this partnership involves utilizing Google Cloud's latest technology, including artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cyber security, to enable defense intelligence and national security specialists to securely share information. This initiative aims to enhance communication between the UK and US while maintaining an edge over adversaries. The Ministry of Defense played a key role in securing the 400 million sterling pounds contract, which is expected to fortify existing intelligence and security collaborations between the two nations.
Defense Secretary John Healey MP emphasized the significance of the investment, stating that it would drive growth, support highly skilled jobs in the UK, and bolster the British tech start-up ecosystem. He noted the importance of secure communication with allies for national security and highlighted Google Cloud's contribution to advancing secret technology.
The agreement aligns with the Strategic Defense Review's objectives, which focus on developing cutting-edge digital technologies to counter potential threats. Tara Brady, EMEA President of Google Cloud, expressed the company's commitment to supporting the UK government's mission to build a robust infrastructure and leverage technological innovations.
