Abu dhabi: The UAE Council for Fatwa organized an event to celebrate the longstanding fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the State of Kuwait. Held at the Council's headquarters in Abu Dhabi, the event was themed "Emirati-Kuwaiti Fraternity: Historical Roots and Shared Religious Heritage." It was organized as part of the "UAE-Kuwaiti Relations Week."
According to Kuwait News Agency, the event was held in collaboration with the UAE National Library and Archives and attended by guests specializing in the cultural and historical ties of the Arabian Gulf. The gathering aimed to highlight the spiritual and historical depth of the bilateral bond, reviewing key milestones and showcasing the shared values established by the leadership of both nations.
In his speech, Secretary-General of the Council, Dr. Saba Al Kaabi, emphasized that the two nations have consistently supported one another throughout history. Meanwhile, Dr. Hosniya Al-Ali, an educational programs advisor at the National Archives and Library, noted that Emirati-Kuwaiti relations are not merely a series of historical milestones but rather a deeply rooted human experience in the collective consciousness of both nations. She added that this bond, forged through kinship and solidarity, has built a shared civilizational landscape founded on moderation and coexistence.
Furthermore, Dr. Shama Al-Dhaheri, Director of the Department of Public Fatwas and Civilizational Ijtihad, affirmed that the Emirati and Kuwaiti experiences serve as a model for utilizing religious discourse and civilizational jurisprudence to promote societal stability and peace through a disciplined, moderate approach.
