Kuwait city: The UAE Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, Dr. Matar Al-Neyadi, presented an array of significant items from Abu Dhabi's first space endeavor to the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Center. The collection included a UAE spacesuit, the "Tomooh Zayed" logo, and various belongings from the Mohammad bin Rashid Space Center tied to the UAE's inaugural space mission in 2019.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Ambassador Al-Neyadi expressed his pride in the growing cooperation and coordination between Kuwait and the UAE within the realm of space exploration. He highlighted that the cultural center's display of UAE space mission artifacts and related documentaries underscores this collaboration. Al-Neyadi also expressed hopes that such endeavors could lead to the establishment of a comprehensive Gulf space program.
The handover ceremony featured items, including video footage of the UAE Minister of State for Youth, Dr. Sultan Al-Neyadi, on his journey to the International Space Station (ISS) and various training exercises undertaken by UAE astronauts. Al-Neyadi and Dr. Amina Farhan, Director General of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science (KFAS), explored the space museum within the center, particularly the "Galaxies Traveler" chamber, which details the space history of GCC countries.
