U.S. State Sec. Holds Talks with Polish Counterpart on Bilateral Relations and Developments

Washington: U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski in Washington late Friday to discuss bilateral relations and regional and international developments. During the meeting, Secretary Rubio emphasized President Trump's commitment to achieving a lasting resolution to the conflict in Ukraine, according to a statement by Tammy Bruce, Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Secretary Rubio and Foreign Minister Sikorski reaffirmed the significance of U.S.-Polish relations and explored avenues to further enhance their partnership, particularly in the areas of defense and energy. The talks highlighted the mutual commitment to strengthening ties between the two nations.

Secretary Rubio also expressed his strong appreciation for Poland's example in defense spending and acknowledged the leadership role that Poland continues to play within the Alliance. The meeting underscored the collaborative efforts of both countries in addressing shared challenges and advancing common goals.
