Jenin: The Palestinian Health Ministry said Saturday that two Palestinians were killed by Israeli occupation forces in Jenin governorate of the West Bank.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry reported in a press statement that 22-year-old Ahmad Zayoud died from a gunshot wound to the chest sustained during an Israeli raid on the town of Silat Al-Harithiya, west of Jenin in the northern West Bank. The raid involved an Israeli incursion into the town, during which live ammunition and stun grenades were fired at Palestinians.
The statement further noted that the second victim was 16-year-old Rayan Abu Mualla, who succumbed to wounds inflicted when he was shot by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin. The Palestinian news agency (WAFA) detailed that Israeli occupation forces stormed the town, firing live ammunition directly at Abu Mualla, and obstructed Red Crescent paramedics from reaching him, resulting in his death from bleeding before seizing his body.
The death toll of Palestinians in Jenin has now reached 62 since the onset of the Israeli offensive on the city and its refugee camp.
