Two Kuwaiti Ministers Engage in Digital Cooperation Talks with DCO Chief

Kuwait city: Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya and Minister of State for Communication Affairs Omar Al-Omar on Monday held a virtual meeting with Deemah Al-Yahya, Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO). The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the State of Kuwait and the organization.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement indicating that the discussions explored close cooperation between the ministers and the DCO secretary-general. Topics included digital transformation and ways to boost partnerships among the organization's members in various areas.

The meeting specifically addressed the exchange of expertise, building capabilities in the digital economy, and information technology. There was also a focus on employing technology in enterprises that support digital diplomacy concepts and skill development, particularly in artificial intelligence and sustainable development.

The DCO, a global multilateral body launched in November 2020, is dedicated to enabling digital prosperity for all. Its members include Kuwait, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Cyprus, Djibouti, Gambia, Ghana, Greece, Jordan, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Rwanda, and Saudi Arabia.
