Tashkent: Turkiye has been re-elected as a member of the Executive Board of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for the 2025-2029 term.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Turkish Foreign Ministry announced that Turkiye will serve on the Executive Board for the third consecutive term, having previously held memberships for the 2017-2021 and 2021-2025 periods. This re-election took place during the 43rd General Conference of UNESCO in Uzbekistan.
As a co-founder of UNESCO, Turkiye emphasizes its dedication to the organization's goals and ideals. The country plans to continue its contributions to international cooperation, focusing on advancing UNESCO's mission and preserving the shared values of humanity.
