Turkish Transport Minister Highlights OIC Logistics Cooperation

Istanbul: Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu emphasized the importance of transport as a fundamental component of economic development, human solidarity, and crisis management. He called for increased cooperation among Muslim states in this domain during his address at the 2nd Session of the Islamic Conference of Transport Ministers (CTM) in Istanbul. The session, which began earlier today, is centered on the theme "Strengthening Transport Connectivity to Deepen Fraternity among OIC Member States."

According to Kuwait News Agency, Minister Uraloglu remarked on the significant transformations in the global economy, trade routes, production centers, and transport technologies. These changes have underscored the strategic importance of collaboration in the transport sector. He noted that such cooperation, facilitated by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), serves as a pivotal platform for fostering mutual solidarity and trust among member states.

The minister further highlighted that the transport sector extends beyond its role in trade and economic growth. It also serves as a crucial infrastructure for human solidarity, effective crisis management, and ensuring regional stability.
