Turkish President Holds Crucial Talks with Jordanian and Iranian Leaders on Israeli Occupation Escalation

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone call on Saturday with Jordanian King Abdullah II and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss the Israeli occupation escalation against Iran, as well as other regional and global developments.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Turkish Presidential Communications Directorate stated that King Abdullah and President Pezeshkian stressed the seriousness of the Israeli occupation aggression, considering it a provocation that will harm the security and stability of the region. During the call with King Abdullah II, Erdogan remarked that the Israeli occupation government's aggressive actions have caused instability in the area and the world.

Erdogan further pointed to the international community's silence as partly responsible for the escalation, particularly regarding the ongoing occupation and violations in Palestinian and Iranian territories. He extended his condolences to the Iranian President and the Iranian victims of the Israeli occupation's aggression.

He emphasized that these attacks are violations of international law and are part of the occupation's efforts to divert attention from the genocide occurring in the Gaza Strip. Erdogan also warned against the possible dangers of a leak of radioactive materials due to Israeli occupation military actions on Iranian facilities.

Erdogan highlighted that such a disaster could put civilians at risk and harm the environment, both locally and globally, with effects extending beyond the conflict area and impacting ecosystems and communities worldwide. He underlined that the region cannot endure another crisis and asserted that the only solution to the ongoing conflict is through continued negotiations regarding the Iranian nuclear program.
