Turkish Customs System Suspends Trade with Israel Amid Ongoing Conflicts.

ANKARA: Turkiye's customs system has officially halted all trade activities with Israel as announced by Turkish Minister of Trade Omer Bolat. The suspension, which has been in place since May 2, is contingent upon the establishment of a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. According to Kuwait News Agency, Minister Bolat confirmed that since the suspension date, no customs declarations have been filed for exports or imports between Turkiye and Israel. Despite this halt, trade with Palestine and humanitarian aid flows have persisted, as Bolat detailed on his X account. "Our customs system is completely closed to trade with Israel," Anadolu Agency quoted him saying. The minister further clarified that Turkish exports to Palestinian territories are permitted only if the Palestine Ministry of National Economy officially verifies that shipments are intended for Palestinian importers and will be used exclusively within Palestine. Bolat emphasized that trade data corroborate that these goods are indeed part of Tu rkiye's transactions with Palestine.
