Gulf Investment Forum Commences in Bahrain.

Manama: The Gateway Gulf 2024 Investment Forum began in the Bahraini capital, Manama, on Sunday, attracting senior regional and international officials, experts, and business leaders. The forum serves as an interactive platform connecting Bahrain and Gulf countries to the global community, aiming to establish strong and sustainable partnerships between economic leaders and decision-makers to explore investment opportunities. According to Kuwait News Agency, Bahraini Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah emphasized the importance of the forum in sharing expertise and drawing from various experiences to support the region's readiness for global economic changes. He highlighted Bahrain's commitment to enhancing its status as an attractive investment destination, diversifying its economic base, and promoting non-oil sectors to drive growth. Bahraini Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa noted the Gulf economies' clear-cut economic and development visions, which are built on long-term strategic thinking to enhance resilience and competitiveness. During a debate held on the sidelines of the forum, he emphasized the region's skilled workforce, particularly in digital technology. The minister also pointed out the positive economic growth of GCC member countries, which is reflected in the regional economies' gross domestic product of USD 2.3 trillion, a figure expected to increase in the future.
