Trump Taps Keith Kellogg as Special Envoy for Ukraine, Russia.

Cairo: US President-elect Donald Trump said Wednesday he is nominating (retired) General Keith Kellogg to serve as Assistant to the President and Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia. “Keith has led a distinguished Military and Business career, including serving in highly sensitive National Security roles in my first Administration,” Trump wrote on his account on Truth Social platform. “He was with me right from the beginning! Together, we will secure PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH, and Make America, and the World, SAFE AGAIN,” Trump added.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the nomination of Kellogg, a retired general with extensive experience in military and national security affairs, underscores Trump’s focus on strengthening diplomatic and security strategies in Eastern Europe. Kellogg’s previous roles, particularly during Trump’s first administration, have been characterized by his involvement in pivotal security decisions, which Trump believes will be essential for addressing the complex geopolitical challenges
in Ukraine and Russia.

Kellogg’s appointment comes at a time when the international community is closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine and the broader region, as tensions have fluctuated over recent years. His experience and established rapport with Trump could play a significant role in shaping the administration’s approach to fostering stability and peace in the area.

The decision to nominate Kellogg reflects Trump’s strategy of prioritizing experienced military leaders in critical diplomatic roles, aiming to leverage their expertise to navigate the ongoing challenges and opportunities in international relations.
