Trump and Xi Engage in Dialogue on Trade and Ukraine War

Washington: US President Donald Trump engaged in a conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday, focusing on trade relations and the latest developments concerning the Ukraine peace plan. "We discussed many topics including Ukraine/Russia, Fentanyl, Soybeans and other Farm Products, etc. We have done a good, and very important, deal for our Great Farmers - and it will only get better," President Trump shared on the Truth Social platform following a phone call with the Chinese leader, highlighting the strength of relations with China. According to Kuwait News Agency, President Trump noted that the call was a continuation of their successful meeting in South Korea three weeks prior. "Since then, there has been significant progress on both sides in keeping our agreements current and accurate. Now we can set our sights on the big picture," he stated. Trump also revealed that he accepted an invitation from President Xi to visit Beijing in April. He further mentioned an agreement to host President Xi for a State Visit in the US later in the year, emphasizing the importance of regular communication. "We agreed that it is important that we communicate often, which I look forward to doing," Trump concluded.
