Cairo: Kuwait's Minister of Information and Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdurrahman Al-Mutairi, has expressed the country's commitment to strengthening Arab media collaboration and forming strategic alliances to support integration with Egypt. This statement came following his meeting with Khaled Abdulaziz from Egypt's Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR) during the Arab media ministers' meeting in Cairo.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Mutairi highlighted the meeting as an opportunity to explore collaboration across various sectors, enhancing the presence of Kuwait and Egypt on both international and regional stages. He praised the SCMR's significant role in media development and emphasized that the cooperation reflects the long-standing and robust historic ties between the two nations, as well as the directives from their political leaderships.
Minister Al-Mutairi participated in the 21st meeting of the Executive Bureau of Arab Media Ministers' Council, which aimed to deliberate on the agenda for the 55th session set for the following day. The meeting, chaired by Saudi Media Minister Salman Al-Doussari, covered topics such as the Palestinian issue, an updated version of Arab media ethics, and the role of Arab media in combating terror, along with discussions on the 2030 Arab sustainable development plan.
