Kuwait city: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hosted a tripartite cooperation summit with Italian and Libyan prime ministers Giorgia Meloni and Abdul-Hamid Dbeibeh, respectively, at the Presidential Dolmabahce Office in Istanbul on Friday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the leaders held meetings behind closed doors in the presence of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, National Intelligence Organization chief Ibrahim Kalin, and Presidential Advisor Akif Cagatay Kilic. The discussions aimed to address a range of issues significant to the participating nations.
The summit's agenda covered critical topics such as energy and economy, reflecting the countries' mutual interests in strengthening economic ties and exploring energy collaborations. Additionally, the summit addressed efforts to combat illegal immigration, a pressing issue for the region.
