The Commercial Activity Between Diyala And The Southern Governorates Returned To Normal

The roads damaged by the border water torrents, east of Baquba, Diyala Governorate, have been reopened.

A local source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that “the joint government effort was able to restore the closed roads to work after the rehabilitation works of the parts affected by the water torrents within the borders of Qazania and Mandali districts, east of Baquba.

He added that the commercial movement between Diyala and the southern provinces has returned to normal with the escalation of economic activity at high rates.

The torrents coming from the border strip caused the closure of important border roads, most notably the strategic Diyala-Wasit road.
