The 10th Belt, Road Summit Kicks Off in Hong Kong

Hong kong: The 10th Road and Belt Summit commenced on Wednesday at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The event is supported by the Commissioner's Office of China's Foreign Ministry in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and sees participation from senior government officials and business leaders from various parts of the world.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the two-day summit, held on September 10-11, is jointly organized by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). It focuses on the prospects of trade and investment cooperation and the exchange of expertise in multiple fields, including infrastructure, energy, digital economy, and financial services.

Delegates from more than 18 Belt and Road economies, along with regional and international organizations, are participating in the event. The summit features sessions that concentrate on strengthening economic partnerships and advancing sustainable development.

Since its inception in 2016, the summit has attracted about 45,000 participants from over 120 countries worldwide, including Kuwait, highlighting its significance as a global platform.
