Texas Flood Death Toll Reaches 24

Austin: The death toll from flash flooding in parts of central Texas early Friday has risen to 24, according to local authorities. US President Donald Trump described the central Texas flooding as "terrible" and assured federal support in the aftermath.

According to Kuwait News Agency, President Trump expressed his shock at the situation, noting the uncertainty surrounding the total number of affected individuals. "It's terrible. The floods? It's shocking. They don't know the answer yet as to how many people, but it looks like some young people have died," Trump stated to reporters aboard Air Force One while en route to New Jersey.

When questioned about the possibility of federal aid, President Trump confirmed, "Oh yeah, we'll take care of them. We're working with the governor. We're working with the governor. It's a terrible thing." Meanwhile, Texas Governor Greg Abbott emphasized the ongoing rescue efforts, stating, "All-night rescue effort: Searches to find those unaccounted for will continue in the darkness of night."
