Tajikistan’s Ambassador Highlights Strategic Ties with Kuwait Amid Global Challenges.

Kuwait city: Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Tajikistan's Ambassador to Kuwait, Zubaydullo Zubaydzoda, emphasized the significance of the relationship between Tajikistan and Kuwait during a challenging global climate. The ambassador's remarks came in light of the official visit of Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon to Kuwait. According to Kuwait News Agency, Ambassador Zubaydzoda underscored the peace-oriented nature of both nations, expressing that President Rahmon's visit serves as a testament to the strong bilateral ties. Discussions between President Rahmon and His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah are expected to cover recent regional developments and security concerns. Ambassador Zubaydzoda highlighted that the talks would address the ongoing aggression by the Israeli occupation and its impact on innocent civilians in Gaza and Lebanon. He noted that President Rahmon's visit follows his participation in the expanded BRICS meeting, amid escalating regional conflicts and pote ntial threats of widespread war. Further, Zubaydzoda relayed President Rahmon's call at the BRICS meeting for an end to aggression, adherence to Security Council resolutions, and the establishment of a viable Palestinian state. The ambassador commended the robust foundation for cooperation between Kuwait and Tajikistan, marking the 30th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. He mentioned existing cooperation agreements in education, culture, agriculture, and counter-terrorism, with plans to expand into tourism, energy, and water sectors. Zubaydzoda also expressed intentions to enhance tourist arrivals from Kuwait and boost trade and labor exchange. On cultural exchange, Zubaydzoda acknowledged shared cultural and historical ties, advocating for increased translation initiatives and literary and student exchanges. He concluded by praising Kuwait's contributions to Arab cultural endeavors, suggesting Tajikistan could learn from Kuwait's experience in promoting knowledge and cultural initiatives supportin g anti-terrorism efforts.
